Job summary

Alberta Health Services at Foothills Medical Centre seeks a Maintenance Worker IV (Building Operator) to oversee building operations, including HVAC systems, ABSA boiler support, AHUs, and fire alarm/Water Treatment systems. You will supervise maintenance staff, perform preventative maintenance, and support occupants, staff, and contractors across the campus.

Qualifications

• Completion of post-secondary education in a related field and/or technical certification in a related field required or 4th Class Power Engineer Certificate as per ABSA kW rating guidelines where boiler support is necessary.
• Seasoned/Specialized technical/professional experience (i.e. 5-7 years) required.
• Must be familiar with a variety of tools and equipment used in the maintenance program.
• Must have vendor specific training courses in building systems found in acute care settings.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of highly skilled and complex maintenance and repair work.
• Utilize supervisory and/or maintenance skills to perform preventative maintenance and repair duties on specialized equipment and building control systems.
• Provide leadership and direction to other maintenance staff to meet operational requirements.
• Resolve escalated operational issues; act as a delegate for the Manager on operational issues.
