Job summary

GHD is seeking an Intermediate / Senior Building Mechanical Engineer in the Waterloo/Greater Toronto Area (Ontario) to design and deliver mechanical systems for diverse projects. You will collaborate with architects, engineers, and project teams through planning, design, construction support, and commissioning phases.

The role emphasizes developing technical and leadership capabilities within a high-performing, hybrid work culture, with three in-office days per week to foster collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and eligible for P.Eng. in Ontario.
• 8–10 years of experience in HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, BAS.
• Proficient in Revit MEP, AutoCAD MEP, HAP.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze HVAC, plumbing, piping, drainage, fire protection, and BAS for facilities.
• Perform calculations, equipment selections, load calculations, and system evaluations.
• Prepare technical reports, studies, and design documentation.
• Coordinate mechanical layouts using Revit MEP and AutoCAD MEP.
