Job summary

Hazelview Property Services Inc. is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to manage in-suite and common area maintenance, respond to service requests, and coordinate with the Facilities Manager.

The role emphasizes safety, inspections, and proactive upkeep of building systems in a Toronto setting. Responsibilities include completing unit turnover work, performing routine safety inspections, and ensuring compliance with fire, electrical, and OHSA standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in building maintenance, facilities, or a related technical trade.
• Working knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and building systems.
• Familiarity with Ontario fire code and OHSA requirements in a residential context.
• Experience with commercial/retail space maintenance is an asset.
• Experience with Yardi or similar work order management systems an asset.

Responsibilities

• In-Suite & common area maintenance and repairs.
• Recognising and addressing maintenance needs in mechanical and common areas.
• Complete unit make-ready work and respond to work orders in a timely manner.
• Conduct pre-move-in readiness inspections and annual suite inspections.
• Carry out safety inspections for fire, electrical, OHSA, boiler, elevator, and accessibility requirements.
