Job summary

Cadillac Fairview Corp. is seeking a maintenance technician to support electrical and mechanical systems across its Centre operations in Toronto.

The role requires availability afternoons, evenings, weekends and holidays to ensure safe, reliable building performance. You will troubleshoot and repair equipment, monitor central plant, test fire protection gear monthly, inspect common areas, and respond to tenant HVAC concerns in line with CF's Client First approach.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and enrolled in SMA or SMT (BOMA).
• Minimum two (2) years' experience in physical plant operations, HVAC and related equipment, preferably in a commercial hi-rise or mixed-use environment.
• Thorough knowledge of general maintenance procedures (i.e. plumbing, tiling, drywalling, painting, etc.).
• General knowledge of HVAC electrical/mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of computer programs: Microsoft Office, Gmail, Energy management systems software or comparable systems.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair equipment to maintain safe, healthy environment for tenants and customers.
• Monitor central plant and related systems to ensure comfort.
• Test fire equipment monthly and ensure proper operation for tenant safety.
• Inspect common and maintenance areas and manage relamping for proper lighting levels.
• Respond to tenant HVAC concerns and propose solutions to reduce repair costs.
