Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Transportation Engineer for our Ontario team, based in Hamilton or London. You will lead municipal transportation design projects, manage multi-discipline teams, and liaise with clients across Ontario, including MTO and regional municipalities.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree, P.Eng or LEL, and at least five years of project management or design experience. Proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroStation, and OpenRoads or Civil 3D is preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership, negotiation, communication and customer relationship skills are essential
• Experienced in AutoCAD, Microstation and OpenRoads or Civil 3D software will set you apart from your peer group
• Experienced in report and proposal writing
• Experienced roadway design

Responsibilities

• Directing roadway design staff, and managing multi-discipline project teams
• Financial management of projects including budget forecasting, resource management, change-order management, and client invoicing
• Developing proposals, budgets and schedules, and on-going business development and liaison with clients
• Collaborating with Transportation Leaders and other Project Managers to identify staffing, equipment, and training requirements
• Supporting the Stantec Quality Management System, and promoting Stantec’s Environmental Health & Safety program
• Ensuring that the required functions of the project are satisfactorily performed
• Developing and delivering progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations
• Building a strong culture of quality design and teamwork
• Clients may be both internal and external to Stantec
• Other duties as assigned/required
