$24.72 per hour
$250 Signing Bonus

At SSP Canada, our Line Cooks play a key role in receiving food orders, preparing dishes, and setting up the kitchen for efficient operation. Our Line Cooks enjoy working in the Back of House environment.

Responsibilities of a Senior Line Cook include:

  • Following recipes, checking portions, garnishes, and presenting dishes.
  • Proper setup of the kitchen/work station each shift, including ordering, storing, and organizing supplies.
  • Handling, storing, and rotating products properly.
  • Maintaining and cleaning equipment and workstations.
  • Managing stock, cutting, and storing perishable goods daily.
  • Completing control sheets for opening, in-progress, and closing shifts.
  • Cleaning and tidying utensils and work areas, including refrigerators and freezers.
  • Practicing hygiene standards through proper cleaning.
  • Following instructions from the manager and conducting stock checks.

Skills and Requirements:

  • Minimum one year experience in food service.
  • High school diploma preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Food handler’s permit, as required by law.
  • Brand Certification, as required.
  • Ability to stand and work in confined spaces for extended periods.
