MoveSmart Rentals in Mississauga, Canada, seeks a Senior Bookkeeper to manage full-cycle accounting across multiple entities. You will record daily transactions, perform reconciliations, GST/HST handling, payroll entries, intercompany activity, and month-end close.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years Canadian bookkeeping experience, solid QuickBooks Online and Excel skills, and the ability to work independently from our Vaughan office while maintaining strict controls and accurate financial records.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration with an accounting concentration, or a closely related field
• Minimum 5 years of full-cycle bookkeeping or accounting experience
• 5–8+ years of directly relevant experience strongly preferred
• Experience for Canadian companies is required
• Strong knowledge of Canadian bookkeeping and accounting practices
• GST/HST coding, reconciliations, and return-support schedules
• Bank and credit-card reconciliations experience
• Month-end close and balance-sheet reconciliations support
• Record accruals, prepaid expenses, recurring entries, and journal entries
• Payroll bookkeeping, payroll liabilities, government remittances
• Accounts payable and accounts receivable support
• Intercompany experience across multiple entities
• Advanced QuickBooks Online experience
• Excel or Google Sheets skills
• Strong written and spoken English
• Independent with accounting controls
• Willingness to work full-time from Vaughan office

Responsabilidades

• Record and categorize daily financial transactions
• Post deposits, withdrawals, transfers, payments, refunds, credits, and adjustments
• Assign transactions to the correct legal entity and GL accounts
• Complete monthly bank and credit-card reconciliations
• Investigate unusual or missing transactions
• Maintain clean general-ledger accounts
• Record intercompany charges, transfers, balances
• Prepare financial reports and year-end working papers
• Support month-end close and correct period postings
• Coordinate with finance and external accountants
• Reconcile AP/AR and aging reports
• Prepare organized working papers for year-end review
