Job summary

Arup is seeking a dynamic BIM Designer or Senior BIM Designer with expertise in Electrical design to join our expanding Electrical division in Toronto. You will collaborate with design engineers from various disciplines to deliver high-quality data-enriched models and drawings, while implementing BIM standards and leading project delivery from concept to completion.

Qualifications

Fluent effectively collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
Demonstrable experience working with mid to large-scale rail and/or civil projects.
Proficiency in BIM software from major software companies (e.g., Autodesk, Bentley Systems).
Strong understanding of new technologies and their application in BIM.
Strong communication and analytical skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in both technical and non-technical environments.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with BIM team members and engineers to plan and set up BIM models for civil projects.
Create detailed design models for rail and civil projects using BIM software.
Implement and enforce BIM standards in line with ISO 19650 across projects.
Conduct clash detection and resolve design conflicts.
Generate detailed rail and civil drawings and documentation from model elements.
Manage project data environments and provide team training.
