Job summary

Instant Risk Coverage in Toronto is seeking a Senior Analyst to bridge finance and data, building rigorous models and turning raw data into decision-ready insights. You will report to the CFO and gain visibility with executives, owning budgeting, forecasting, and reporting while modernizing how the business sees its numbers with dynamic dashboards.

The role requires advanced SQL, Python, and Power BI skills, and a passion for partnering with across functions in a fast-growing insurtech

Qualifications

• 5+ years of FP&A, financial analysis, or business analytics experience.
• Advanced SQL and Python for data extraction and modeling.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Own the BI stack end to end — data models, semantic layer, dashboards, and self-serve reporting in Power BI and Databox.
• Build and maintain data pipelines across ERP, CRM, billing, policy platform, and data warehouse.
• Establish a single source of truth with a documented data dictionary and KPI definitions.
• Develop complex, driver-based financial models for P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow.
• Support annual budgeting and monthly rolling forecasts; explain variances and propose corrective actions.
• Partner with engineering and finance on data quality and warehouse reliability.
• Translate financial findings into plain-language recommendations for leaders.
• Prepare materials for monthly reviews and board meetings.
