Senior Benefits Specialist at a glance...

You will be responsible for the day-to-day support and management of the Savings Plans (including Defined Contribution, RRSP, and TFSA) and Benefits Programs (Flexible Benefit Plan, Disability, Post Retirement Benefits, Perk Programs, Wellness Programs).

What’s on the menu?
  • Manage the administration of the plans by collaborating with benefit plan providers and outsourced administrators to ensure benefits align with plan documents and strategies.
  • Develop and implement creative benefit programs and perks aligned with employee needs and company strategies.
  • Support the management of external vendor relationships.
  • Perform pension and benefits day-to-day administration.
  • Conduct pension plan and benefit cost reconciliations.
  • Ensure compliance with laws and regulations, and amend plans as needed.
  • Assist with audits, reporting, amendments, and government filings.
  • Manage pension committee and general assembly meetings.

  • Prior experience in Benefits administration, preferably Retirement plans (1-3 years).
  • Background in financial reporting and analysis.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills and strategic thinking.
  • Organizational skills, self-motivation, ability to handle ambiguity, teamwork, and meeting deadlines.
  • Expertise in Excel.
  • Experience with SAP, IPay, Workday, Dayforce, or similar HR databases.

New Hire Base Salary Range: $84,000.00 - $105,000.00

Bonus: This position is eligible for a performance-based bonus as per plan terms and governing documents.

The compensation offered will consider internal equity and may vary depending on geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
