Job Description

The Knowledge Advantage team is central to CPP Investments’ One Fund approach to generating and sharing differentiated enterprise-wide insights on critical investment topics. The team’s mandate includes developing a rich knowledge sharing tapestry by building and leveraging institutional memory and instigating productive collaboration to advance the Fund’s ability to internally leverage and share the breadth and depth of its knowledge, insights, and expertise. As a member of KA, you will contribute to the execution of our data strategy which seeks to identify, curate, and make accessible high value knowledge artifacts that answer colleagues’ critical investment questions.

We are looking for a Senior Advisorto join our team who will contribute to the team realizing its aspirations. Responsibilities may include the following:

  • Capture and codify knowledge assets through systematic processes to ensure teams are building and leveraging institutional memory across investment processes
  • Work with global investment teams to enhance sourcing, ideation, diligence and strategy efforts with relevant fund knowledge and proprietary resources and tools to ensure teams are leveraging the full breadth and depth of the Fund’s expertise
  • Work with team members and stakeholders across the Fund to drive behavioural change that fuels a knowledge sharing culture across the Fund and further develop novel approaches to knowledge sharing, collaboration, and insight generation
  • Liaise with application developers and CPP Investments’ business subject matter experts to brainstorm and document innovative solutions alternatives. Evaluate alternatives relative to business requirements and provide advice that is rooted in deep subject matter expertise.
  • Participate in process design meetings and translating outcomes into as-is and to-be process design flows, identifying efficiencies and leveraging the capability of digital resources.
  • Apply analytical and technical skills to investigate day-to-day system and business issues, determine the root cause and deliver viable solutions.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of business requirements, functional specifications, and project deliverables. Generate reports and updates for stakeholders, executive leadership, and project sponsors to communicate project status, risks, and issues.
  • Support other team initiatives, as appropriate.
Qualifications
  • Undergraduate degree or college diploma in related field.
  • 4+ years of relevant experience, including collecting, measuring, organizing, and analyzing data
  • Proven process development skills and solid understanding of project life cycle and the capability to apply best practices knowledge to unique and dynamic situations.
  • Proven ability to liaise with business subject matters in gathering of business requirements.
  • Exceptional (written and verbal) communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated interest in learning about different asset classes, sectors, domains, themes, and geographies
  • An entrepreneurial spirit and a creative mindset, with a systematic approach to problem-solving
  • The ability to prioritize and multi-task on tight deadlines
