Job summary

Ramp, a fintech company, is building the smart infrastructure for finance teams in the transaction flow of every dollar a business spends. We automate large spend flows and offer end-to-end receivables automation.

We are seeking a senior backend engineer to own core pieces of the accounts receivable system, including payments matching and ledger syncing. You'll work with product and design to turn complex finance workflows into reliable software, owning projects from design through production

Qualifications

• Experience designing and operating production backend systems.
• Experience with APIs and data models.
• Strong system design judgment and reliability focus.
• Track record of owning complex projects end-to-end.

Responsibilities

• Build the payment-matching systems that automatically apply payments to invoices and reconcile data.
• Design accurate data models where every dollar is traceable from invoice to GL.
• Build two-way integrations with ERPs like NetSuite and QuickBooks that stay consistent through retries.
• Build collections workflows that help businesses get paid faster without harming customer relationships.
• Own projects from problem definition and design through launch, monitoring, and iteration.
• Raise the engineering bar through design reviews, code reviews, and mentorship.
