Job summary

Talanto in Canada is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Backend, to own and evolve the Partner Merchant Interface. You will join a fast-paced Decisions Foundations integration team responsible for the APIs used by Partners and Merchants, including major names like Amazon and Stripe.

You will design, develop and deploy backend services at scale using Python or Kotlin, navigate large codebases, review peers, and collaborate across time zones with a global engineering team.

Qualifications

Design, develop and launch backend systems at scale using Python or Kotlin.
Experience with distributed systems, AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.
Ability to translate simple problems into multi-component solutions with well-tested, extensible code.
Navigate large codebases, debug others’ code and participate in code reviews.
Strong communication and collaboration with a global engineering team; Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
