Placements24 is seeking a Senior Software Developer (Backend) in Kimberley to design, build, and maintain high-quality server-side applications. You will work with engineers to implement scalable backend services and APIs, ensuring reliability and performance.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of backend experience, a degree in CS or related field, proficiency in Java, Python, C#, or Node.js, experience with SQL/NoSQL databases, RESTful design, and Git.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in CS/engineering.
• 5+ years of professional backend software development experience.
• Proficiency in backend languages such as Java, Python, C#, or Node.js.
• Strong knowledge of relational (SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs and using Git in agile environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality backend services and APIs.
• Optimize performance, database interactions, and system architecture for scalability.
• Write clean, maintainable code with established standards.
• Collaborate with product managers and frontend developers to translate requirements.
