Placements24 is hiring a Senior Backend Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs. You will optimize database queries, ensure security, and drive robust architecture while collaborating with frontend engineers and product managers in a hybrid work setup.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of backend development experience, proficiency in one or more modern backend languages, and a strong foundation in RESTful APIs and database technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of backend development experience.
• Proficiency in at least one modern backend language.
• Experience with designing and developing RESTful APIs.
• Solid understanding of database technologies (SQL/NoSQL) and ORMs.
• Experience with cloud platforms and microservices architecture is a plus.
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes is beneficial.
• Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.
• Experience in a hybrid team environment and familiarity with CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement scalable, high-performance backend services and APIs.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code in backend languages.
• Optimize application performance, database queries, and resource usage.
• Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate server-side logic.
• Design and manage database schemas and data models.
• Implement security and data protection measures.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and best practices.
