Altis Technology is seeking a Senior Backend Software Developer to design, build, and optimize backend services powering its cloud-based platform. The role emphasizes Python development, RESTful APIs, and a strong microservices mindset in a hybrid Calgary setting.

You will work on authentication, permissions, notifications, auditing, and third-party integrations, with 70% new development and 30% maintenance. Expect cloud-native work using Kubernetes, CI/CD, and modern tooling.

Formación

• 8+ years of professional software development experience.
• At least 2 years of professional Python development experience.
• Strong RESTful APIs design and development experience.
• Solid understanding of microservices and distributed systems.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Hands-on with Kubernetes and containerization.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, testing, and code reviews.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and RESTful APIs using Python.
• Build and enhance microservices for authentication, authorization, permissions, and integrations.
• Develop reliable integrations between desktop apps, cloud services, and third-party platforms.
• Improve performance, scalability, and reliability across interconnected services.
• Contribute to architecture and API design decisions for performance and security.
• Develop cloud-native services using Kubernetes and cloud technologies.
• Write clean, tested code and participate in CI/CD and code reviews.
• Mentor other developers and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools judiciously while maintaining quality.
