Job summary

DoorDash Technologies Canada Inc. in Toronto, ON is seeking Backend Engineers to join our hybrid team, developing and operating large-scale web applications while shaping the backend architecture for product areas.

You will improve performance, security and scalability, and help transition a monolithic codebase to microservices while tackling innovative logistics challenges using modern web stacks and SQL/NoSQL databases.

Qualifications

• B.S., M.S., or PhD in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 2+ years industry experience with backend tech stacks.
• Experience with service oriented architecture and REST APIs.

Responsibilities

• Develop, release and run large-scale web applications.
• Define backend architecture and tech stack for a product area.
• Improve performance, reliability, scalability and security of backend systems.
• Transition monolithic codebase to a microservice-based architecture.
• Tackle bleeding-edge logistics problems.
