Job summary

Honeycomb is seeking a backend-focused engineer who can design and deliver robust APIs in Go while contributing to full-stack features with React/TypeScript. You’ll own production systems, mentor teammates, and participate in on-call rotations to ensure reliable observability and performance.

You will collaborate across product design and engineering, shaping roadmaps and technical standards, with a focus on scalable, maintainable services and strong developer experience.

Qualifications

• Experience building APIs and backend services in Go.
• Frontend experience with React/TypeScript and full-stack delivery.

Responsibilities

• Own and design backend systems and APIs for production use.
• Build and maintain full-stack features with frontend and backend collaboration.
• Provide technical leadership, define patterns and guidelines, mentor teammates.
• Participate in on-call rotations to ensure reliable production operations.
• Communicate clearly and effectively to drive team impact and align with business goals.
