Spellbook is seeking a backend engineer to build and scale high‑reliability services that power AI-driven contract work. You will own core platform concerns, design scalable data models, and partner with product and design to balance latency, accuracy, and reliability.

You will work with Node.js/TypeScript in a modern tech stack, contributing to on-call responses and production readiness while shaping product outcomes for legal teams.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years of experience building backend systems in production.
• Strong fundamentals in APIs, data modeling, concurrency, queues, AI inference.
• Experience with NoSQL databases and performance tuning, esp. MongoDB.
• Ability to turn ambiguity into a shipped, robust system.
• Strong written and verbal communication for cross-functional teams.
