Job summary

MindWalk Holdings Corp. is seeking an experienced Scientist for our B cell laboratory in Victoria, BC.

The role focuses on antibody discovery workflows from immune cell isolation through cloning and sequence verification, with involvement in client projects and internal R&D. Responsibilities include driving process improvements, collaborating across teams, and mentoring staff while ensuring rigorous scientific standards and quality documentation in a GLP/GMP‑compliant environment.

Qualifications

• PhD in biology or related field; post‑doctoral experience is a plus.
• Expert knowledge of B cell biology and antibody discovery methods.
• 8+ years lab experience, preferably in industry, is essential.
• Strong data management, reporting, and communication skills.
• GLP/GMP experience and SOP review is an asset.
• Education plus experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Play a key role in antibody discovery service production within a collaborative team.
• Collaborate across teams on client work and internal R&D projects.
• Identify and propose process improvements for the B cell lab.
• Execute molecular activities including RNA isolation, cDNA generation, sequencing, and cloning.
• Analyze process performance data and generate reports for site leadership.
• Work with Project Team Leaders to meet project requirements and timelines.
• Maintain up‑to‑date SOPs and complete documentation.
• Provide mentorship, supervision, and training of technical staff.
• Manage lab communications and participate in meetings.
• Monitor inventory and liaise with procurement to support operations.
• Ensure all work follows MindWalk protocols and SOPs.
