Job summary

PLATO is Canada’s largest Indigenous-owned software testing and technology services company. We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Microsoft Security Architect to lead the design, implementation, and governance of enterprise security solutions across a Microsoft technology ecosystem.

This role provides strategic security leadership and architectural direction for cloud, identity, data, infrastructure, and application security initiatives while aligning with risk management objectives.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in enterprise cybersecurity or security architecture
• Deep expertise in Microsoft security technologies (Azure, Defender, Sentinel)
• Proven experience designing secure cloud architectures (Azure & Microsoft 365)
• Strong knowledge of Zero Trust, IAM, and secure network design
• Hands-on experience with SSO, MFA, CA, PIM, and enterprise auth
• Experience with security monitoring, SIEM, threat detection, and incident response
• Familiarity with NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls and security governance
• Knowledge of data protection, privacy, and risk management in enterprise environments
• Ability to collaborate with business leaders and technical teams to deliver secure-by-design solutions
• Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills

Responsibilities

• Design and implement secure cloud solutions leveraging Microsoft stack
• Lead the adoption and implementation of Zero Trust across environments
• Design and manage enterprise IAM solutions, including SSO, MFA, and CA
• Develop secure architectures protecting assets while enabling transformation
• Conduct security assessments, threat modeling, and risk analyses
• Design and implement security controls aligned with policies and regulations
• Support security frameworks and compliance standards (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS)
• Design and integrate security monitoring, threat detection, and incident response with Microsoft tools
• Collaborate across security operations, architecture, infrastructure, and business teams
• Provide architectural leadership on cloud security, identity protection, compliance, and governance
