Job summary

S I Systems in Toronto is seeking a Senior AWS Developer with lead experience to design, develop, and support AWS-based cloud-native applications for a banking client. The role combines hands-on coding with technical leadership, owning delivery and guiding architecture. Location: Toronto, hybrid (2-3x/week).

Duration: 6 months. You should have strong Node.js, TypeScript, AWS services (Lambda, ECS/Fargate, API Gateway, DynamoDB, IAM), and IaC experience.

Qualifications

• Senior AWS development experience with lead/technical leadership.
• Strong hands-on AWS skills across Lambda, ECS/Fargate, API Gateway and DynamoDB.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code and AWS solution architecture.
• Knowledge of security, SDLC, unit testing, APIs, and batch processing.
• Comfortable taking ownership of delivery and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Own delivery, troubleshoot issues, and provide technical leadership while remaining hands-on.
