Full Stack Developer (TypeScript, PostgreSQL, AWS)

Toronto, ON - Hybrid (4 Days WFO)

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable full‑stack applications using TypeScript.
• Build and consume RESTful APIs and microservices for enterprise‑grade applications.
• Develop robust backend services and data access layers leveraging PostgreSQL.
• Design secure, reliable, and high‑performing cloud solutions on AWS.
• Collaborate with product owners, architects, and cross‑functional teams to deliver business solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and technical decision‑making.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices to improve deployment efficiency.
• Troubleshoot application, database, and infrastructure issues across environments.
• Ensure adherence to security, scalability, performance, and coding standards.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of full‑stack development experience.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and modern application development practices.
• Hands‑on experience with PostgreSQL, database design, query optimization, and data modeling.
• Extensive experience with AWS services such as EC2, Lambda, ECS/EKS, RDS, S3, API Gateway, CloudWatch, and IAM.
• Experience building and integrating REST APIs and microservices.
• Strong understanding of software design patterns, distributed systems, and cloud‑native architectures.
• Experience with Git, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and automated testing frameworks.
• Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Okta, OAuth2, OpenID Connect (OIDC), SSO, and authentication/authorization frameworks.
• Solution architecture and system design experience.
• Experience with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CloudFormation), Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Experience designing highly available and scalable enterprise solutions.
• Exposure to observability and monitoring tools.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
• AWS Certification (Developer, Solutions Architect, or DevOps Engineer) is a plus.
• Experience working in banking, financial services, or other regulated industries is an advantage.
