Job description

We are looking for Senior Automation Testing Engineer who has a very good hands‑on experience in Banking domain especially in Wire Payments and Swift Messaging domain with hands‑on experience handling various Payment flows. The role involves developing test plans, executing test cases, and identifying and reporting defects to deliver a seamless and secure transaction experience.

In this role, you will
  • Creating and executing manual and functional requirements for payment processing systems.
  • Contribute to defect triage and root cause analysis, providing actionable feedback to improve product reliability and user experience.
  • Develop and execute test cases based on payment flows and compliance requirements.
  • Review and validate testing performed by peers or other teams to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
  • Identify recurring patterns, systemic gaps, and opportunities for control enhancement.
  • Ensure traceability and regulatory adherence throughout delivery lifecycle.
Required skills: what you need to be considered
  • Overall 7‑10 years of automation testing in Banking domain, preferably in the payments and SWIFT messaging domain.
  • Deep understanding of wire payment systems and workflows along with other Canadian Payments (ACH, EFT, Interac, Deposits etc.).
  • Must have End‑to‑end knowledge of wire payment processing.
  • Must have hands‑on experience with automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Robot Framework, Cypress).
  • Strong scripting skills (preferably in Python or Java).
  • Ability to design, maintain, and optimize regression suites for high‑risk financial transactions.
  • Hands‑on UAT testing experience.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and test integration.
  • Experience with compliance and risk protocols related to wire transfers.
  • Knowledge of authorization, posting and reconciliation processes for payment transactions.
  • Strong understanding of banking and financial systems, transactions, and data flows.
Preferred skills: what will help you stand out
  • Exposure to fraud/compliance tools, Payments or ISO certifications.
