Job summary

Rockwell Automation is seeking a Senior Test Engineer to lead the design, development, and implementation of automated test systems for validating and troubleshooting manufactured products. You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, cost-effective test solutions across global facilities.

You will report to the Manager, Manufacturing Test Engineering and have a hybrid schedule with a Cambridge, ON location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field.
• Ability to travel 25% of the time.
• 5+ years designing and developing production test equipment.
• Experience developing automated test systems.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, C#, NI TestStand, Visual Basic, or PLC.
• Ability to read schematics and BOMs.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and implementation of automated manufacturing test systems for new and existing products.
• Provide design-for-test feedback during product development to improve testability and coverage.
• Develop test strategies, plans, timelines, and deliverables to support product launches and engineering changes.
• Partner with engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and operations teams to deliver effective test solutions.
• Design electrical test systems, select components and instrumentation, and support test fixture development.
• Develop, debug, and maintain test software for manufacturing test equipment.
• Manage the procurement, installation, and lifecycle of test-related capital equipment.
• Create and maintain test specifications, schematics, bills of materials, software releases, and user documentation.
• Apply Lean Six Sigma tools to drive continuous improvement and resolve test system issues.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting and technical support for complex manufacturing test systems.
