Job summary

Worley Consulting Group in Canada is seeking a Principal Process Automation Engineer to lead control systems projects across mining, LNG, petrochemical, and oil and gas sectors.

The role requires hands-on engineering experience from concept through commissioning, with strong focus on OT networking, SIS interfaces, and SCADA systems, plus the ability to manage proposals, budgets, and client relations in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading control systems projects in industry.
• Experience in mining, LNG, petrochemical, oil & gas, or nuclear sectors.
• Front end engineering experience including scope, philosophy, architecture, SIS studies, P&ID and TIC estimates.
• Design deliverables: IO indexes, specs, E/CF diagrams, PLC/DCS/SIS networks, FAT/SAT protocols.
• OT experience with network switches, firewall policies, and secure communications.
• Experience delivering SCADA for midstream facilities with ESD/SIS interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Lead control systems projects from concept through commissioning and handover.
• Coordinate interfaces with partners, contractors, and vendors.
• Develop proposals, execution plans, and budgets.
• Provide technical leadership on safety automation systems and OT networks.
• Support field execution, FAT/SAT, and commissioning activities.
