Job summary

The Commonwell Mutual Insurance Group is seeking a Manager, Physical Damage Claims to lead the APD and Property Claims teams from a remote Ontario setting. You will drive strategy, performance, and escalation decisions for complex claims.

You will foster leadership, coach negotiators, and ensure privacy/regulatory compliance while aligning with corporate goals. A strong focus on service, collaboration, and inclusion is expected.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of leadership experience in a Claims position.
• Post-secondary education in business or insurance management.
• CIP/FCIP designation is an asset.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and mentor staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead APD and Property Claims teams, setting strategy and budget.
• Coach negotiators and guide complex claims resolution.
• Drive process improvements and performance reporting.
• Ensure compliance with privacy and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with external auditors and regulators.
