Job summary

Baker Tilly Canada is seeking a Senior Manager Level 3 in Owen Sound, ON, to lead the firm's accounting and audit operations and guide complex engagements. You will design policies, oversee financial reporting, and mentor staff in a collaborative, client-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, economics, commerce or related field.
• CPA designation in Ontario is required.
• At least five years of public accounting or related financial experience.
• Strong technical knowledge of accounting and auditing standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coordinate, manage and evaluate accounting and audit operations.
• Design and implement policies, procedures, systems and controls.
• Oversee preparation and interpretation of financial statements and audits.
• Lead complex audit engagements meeting professional standards.
• Provide guidance on technical and regulatory matters to teams.
• Manage risk assessment, quality assurance and compliance.
• Monitor financial performance of client projects including budgeting and billing.
• Plan strategic goals with senior partners and translate into actionable plans.
• Advise on procedures, budgets and controls to improve quality and efficiency.
• Represent the firm to key clients, shareholders and the investment community.
• Stay ahead of accounting/auditing standards and promote digital initiatives.
• Recruit, mentor and manage audit staff; conduct performance evaluations.
