Job summary

MNP is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Assurance & Accounting team in Canada. You will deliver comprehensive financial information to help clients make informed decisions, while guiding junior staff and contributing to client relationships.

The role emphasizes GAAP/IFRS/SEC proficiency, CPA designation, and 3–5 years of relevant experience within a dynamic, entrepreneurial firm environment across tax and accounting engagements.

Qualifications

• CPA designation required.
• 3–5 years of relevant public accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS/SEC.
• Experience with accounting and tax software.

Responsibilities

• Conduct compilation, review, audit, bookkeeping and tax engagements.
• Set up files for new clients and new businesses; manage multiple files.
• Perform AR, AP, asset management and payroll walk-throughs with clients.
• Prepare financial statements and reports (balance sheet, P&L).
• Assess audit evidence for expenses, revenues, and payables.
• Identify discrepancies and irregularities in financial entries.
