Job summary

Zeidler Architecture Inc. in Vancouver seeks a Project Manager to lead complex architectural projects from concept to construction. You will oversee scope, schedule, budget, quality, and team coordination, while mentoring staff and supporting continuous improvement in project delivery.

You will manage contracts, collaborate with consultants, and support proposals, with emphasis on design excellence and sustainability across multiple sectors.

Qualifications

• Professional degree in Architecture from a recognized post-secondary institution.
• 10+ years of architectural experience with increasing responsibility; proven track record leading complex building projects.
• Registration with a Canadian architectural association (e.g., OAA, AAA, AIBC) is considered an asset.
• Demonstrated project management skills, including scope, schedule, resource, and financial oversight.
• Advanced proficiency with BIM platforms, particularly Revit; familiarity with AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, MS Office and Vantagepoint (Deltek).
• Strong experience with internal design reviews, quality control, and client-facing coordination.
• Ability to travel for site visits, client meetings, and professional development as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design process across all phases, ensuring alignment with client vision and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee development of design and construction documentation, including specifications and detailing.
• Coordinate architectural documentation with consultant teams for integrated deliverables.
• Guide 3D modeling and Revit/CAD production for clarity and completeness.
• Maintain compliance with codes, bylaws, and authority requirements throughout phases.
• Direct QA/QC processes for project documentation and deliverables.
• Lead regular internal project meetings and report status monthly to leadership.
• Attend site meetings, review shop drawings, and manage RFIs and site instructions.
• Prepare authority submissions packages and manage zoning, SPA, and permit approvals.
• Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
