Job summary

National Bank of Canada is seeking a Senior Cloud Network Architect to design and evolve secure, high-performing network and cloud architectures. You will drive multi-vendor solutions, automate infrastructure, and integrate innovative practices including AI to enhance security and governance.

You will collaborate across teams to translate business needs into scalable, reliable cloud or network designs, with a focus on hybrid connectivity and observability in a dynamic financial services

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in a related field and at least 15 years of relevant experience in networking, cloud and architecture technologies.
• Extensive experience in network and cloud architecture (AWS) in complex multi-vendor environments, with expertise in segmentation, high availability, hybrid connectivity, security, as well as security, compliance and governance principles.
• Expertise in network technologies and protocols (CISCO, Checkpoint, Palo Alto, TCP/IP, ISE, VPNS, DNS, PIWM, OSPF, ETC.)
• In-depth knowledge of AWS services (VPC, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, Route 53, Security, observability, etc.) AWS Advanced Networking Specialty and Solutions Architect Professional certifications.
• Proficiency in infrastructure automation (Terraform, Ansible) and DevOps practises (CI/CD, GitHub Actions)
• experience in technology integration (AI, automation), cross-sector technical leadership, ability to translate business needs into solutions, with excellent communication skills, collaboration, mentoring and strategic orientation.
