Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Senior Platform Architect with deep expertise in platform engineering and cloud technologies to shape the architectural direction of our solutions. In this critical role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and overseeing the architecture and infrastructure of our software solutions, and will work cross-functionally with the engineering and product teams to ensure that our platform meets the highest standards of scalability, security, reliability, and performance.

What You Will Do:

• Lead the design and architecture of a scalable, secure, and high-performance technology platform.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, product, and customer success) to define platform requirements and technical solutions.
• Architect and implement infrastructure solutions that align with Swift’s long-term business and technical goals.
• Establish architectural best practices, ensuring consistency in platform design and deployment across all environments.
• Oversee cloud infrastructure management (Azure) and ensure efficient use of resources, cost optimization, and security best practices.
• Evaluate and integrate new technologies, tools, and frameworks that enhance platform capabilities and improve overall system performance.
• Work closely with IT and InfoSec, as well as Data and DevOps teams, to ensure compliance with healthcare data privacy regulations and implement secure architecture and encryption standards.
• Mentor and guide engineering teams in platform design, development processes, and architectural decision-making.
• Review and assess the technical impact of changes to the platform, identifying and mitigating potential risks.
• Ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and disaster recovery across all platform components.
• Provide technical leadership and participate in the development of long-term technology strategy for the health tech platform.

What You Bring To Swift:

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in platform architecture, with experience in technical leadership role.
• Proven expertise in cloud technologies (Azure), infrastructure as code (IaC), and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Extensive experience in software/systems architecture, design, and development.
• Proficiency in multiple programming languages and a deep understanding of software engineering principles.
• Strong knowledge of architectural patterns, cloud computing, microservices, and containerization.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Leadership and mentoring capabilities with a track record of fostering technical talent.
• Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and drive consensus on architectural decisions.
• Desirable: FHIR, HL7, Kafka, ELK, Postgres, QVera, PowerBI, and Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification.
• Experience in designing and implementing hybrid and multi-cloud solutions.
• Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes in Azure.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps for CI/CD.
