Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Northern Ontario is seeking a Senior Archaeologist to lead archaeological assessments and manage complex projects. You will engage with Indigenous communities to support heritage stewardship and sustainable development. The ideal candidate has over 10 years of consulting experience in archaeology, a professional licence, and strong financial management skills. The position offers a dynamic role that combines technical and cultural insights, contributing to meaningful projects in Northern Ontario.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Canadian driver's licence meeting WSP driving policy.
• Ability to obtain Provincial and Federal Security Clearance.
• Experience with archaeological requirements on federal lands.

Responsibilities

• Lead archaeological assessments in Northern Ontario.
• Manage end-to-end archaeological projects including scope development.
• Engage with Indigenous Nations and communities.

Skills

Professional licence in good standing with the MCM

10+ years of consulting archaeology experience

Expert knowledge of Ontario archaeology

Strong leadership and mentoring experience

Strong understanding of project financial management

Education

Degree in Archaeology or related field
