Join our dynamic US AI Lab at Zepp Health as an Applied Scientist, where your passion for exercise and expertise in AI and signal processing will contribute to our cutting-edge health and fitness technologies. In this role, you will be hands-on in developing AI algorithms and models that enhance athletic performance and health monitoring. You'll be at the forefront of creating innovative solutions that will be deployed on millions of Zepp devices globally.

Key Qualifications

  • Proven experience in AI algorithm development, especially in the context of exercise, sleep, emotion and health.
  • Strong background in AI or signal processing.
  • Demonstrated ability in implementing machine learning models and algorithms, particularly those relevant to wearable data analytics and health data.
  • Proficiency in the application and fine-tuning of large language models, including experience with specific tasks such as natural language understanding and generation.
  • Ability to translate complex AI concepts into practical applications.
  • Proficient in programming languages such as Python for AI and machine learning development.
  • Experience with large scale model development using frameworks like PyTorch.
  • Highly skilled in at least one type of running/swimming/cycling and passionate about sports and exercise.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement advanced AI algorithms tailored for health monitoring and guidance.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to integrate AI solutions into Zepp’s product line.
  • Conduct research and stay abreast of the latest developments in AI, machine learning, digital health, sports science, and large language model advancements.
  • Participate in the full lifecycle of AI solution development, from concept to deployment, including the customization and fine-tuning of large language models for domain-specific applications.

Education & Experience

  • PhD in Computer Science, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field is preferred.
  • At least 2 years of post-doctoral research/industry experience in AI, machine learning, or a related area.

Additional Requirements

  • Excellent problem-solving, algorithm design, and model building skills.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation abilities.
  • A genuine passion for developing new technologies with a high product impact.
