Job description

Join to apply for the Energy Research Scientist role at DataAnnotation.

We are seeking a physics expert to join our team to train AI models. Your responsibilities will include measuring AI chatbots' progress, evaluating their logic, and solving problems to enhance each model's quality.

Qualifications include a strong understanding of physics—either a completed or in-progress Masters/PhD is preferred but not mandatory. Related fields include, but are not limited to: Astrophysics, Biophysics, Electrical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mathematics.

This is a full-time or part-time REMOTE position. You can choose projects to work on and set your own schedule. Projects are paid hourly starting at $40+ per hour, with bonuses for high-quality and high-volume work.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide AI chatbots with diverse and complex physics problems and evaluate their outputs.
  • Assess the quality of AI model outputs for correctness and performance.

Qualifications:

  • Fluency in English (native or bilingual level).
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Proficient in mathematics, reasoning, and physical/temporal/spatial understanding.
  • A current, in-progress, or completed Masters and/or PhD is preferred but not required.
