Job summary

Critical Environment Technologies seeks an Application Engineer to design Gas Detection systems for condo towers, arenas, breweries and beyond. You will review plans, understand applications, create drawings and submittals, and support installation with technical guidance.

You’ll bring an engineering mindset, a degree or equivalent, and a track record in building automation and controls, plus strong communication and presentation skills to train dealers and technicians. Training will be provided.

Qualifications

  • Engineering degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in building automation and controls.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to present to a group in person and/or virtually.

Responsibilities

  • Review plans & project specifications received from customers
  • Design Gas Detection systems for a wide variety of applications & prepare quotes for customers
  • Create project drawings quotes & submittals packages for dealers and engineers
  • Provide post-sale technical & installation support for projects you design
  • Deliver technical training and education to dealers, technicians, and engineers
  • Share insights with the broader CET team and provide input on product direction

Job description

ABOUT YOU:

We are looking for a smart, articulate Application Engineer capable of designing Gas Detection systems for condo towers, arenas, breweries, and everything in between. Your job will be to review engineering plans, understand the application, design systems, create drawings & submittal packages, and then support the customer through installation. Don’t worry if you’re not familiar with Gas Detection; just bring your engineering mindset and desire to learn and we will get you trained up.

  • Review plans & project specifications received from customers
  • Design Gas Detection systems for a wide variety of applications & prepare quotes for customers
  • Create project drawings quotes & submittals packages for dealers and engineers
  • Provide post-sale technical & installation support for projects you design

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
  • Engineering degree or equivalent
