Job summary

BCFSA in Vancouver is seeking a Senior Application Developer (18-month contract) to design, develop, and support enterprise APIs and integration solutions using C# and .NET Core. You will migrate apps to modern .NET, build cloud-native services on Azure, and apply DDD, Clean Architecture, and Zero Trust security to deliver scalable software.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in software development, solution design, and application integration.
• Advanced knowledge of C#, .NET Core, RESTful APIs and modern .NET frameworks.
• Experience designing, developing, and supporting enterprise APIs, integration services, and microservices.
• Experience with cloud-native applications on Microsoft Azure (App Services, Functions, API Management, Service Bus, Storage, Key Vault, Application Insights, Entra ID, Azure DevOps).
• API-first architectures, enterprise integration, secure development practices.
• DD D, SOLID, Clean Architecture and service-oriented/event-driven patterns.
• Experience migrating from .NET Framework to modern .NET platforms and implementing CI/CD with Git/Azure DevOps.
• Experience integrating CRM, data management, and other enterprise systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade API services using C# and .NET Core.
• Drive API-first design to support scalable integrations across systems.
• Collaborate with architects, analysts, developers, vendors, and stakeholders to meet organizational needs.
• Develop RESTful APIs and microservices following modern security and performance standards.
• Apply DDD, Clean Architecture, and SOLID principles to ensure maintainable solutions.
• Support modernization initiatives including migration to .NET Core.
• Build and optimize cloud-native solutions using Microsoft Azure services.
• Design and implement solutions aligned with Zero Trust security principles.
• Develop modern web components, using Blazor where appropriate.
• Implement automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and code quality controls.
• Participate in architecture reviews and technical design discussions.
• Investigate and resolve complex application and integration issues.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and development standards.
• Support integrations with enterprise platforms (CRM, data, LOB systems).
• Mentor team members and drive continuous improvement of development practices.
