Job summary

SGS is seeking API 510/570 or CWB Level 2 inspectors for a one-month turnaround in Fort McMurray. The role requires independent contractors with welding inspection experience in oil & gas, power, or construction, and offers 12-hour shifts, 6 on/1 off, with on-site camp living.

Pay rate is $75–$90 per hour with eligible overtime; start date Sept 4. This is a contract position on a site-based assignment in a camp environment.

Qualifications

• API 510/570 or CWB Level 2 certification (minimum).
• Experience in turnaround/shutdown inspection and QA.
• Industrial welding-related inspection experience in oil & gas / power / construction.

Responsibilities

• Inspect welds on pipelines, expansion joints, pressure vessels, heat exchangers and other equipment.
• Perform QA oversight during turnaround/shutdowns.
• Surveillance of weld quality and vendor activities.
