Job summary

SGS is seeking inspectors for a one-month turnaround assignment in Fort McMurray. The role requires API 510 or API 570 or CWB Level 2 certification and welding-inspection experience in turnaround, shutdowns, site work or QA, with oil & gas, power, or manufacturing exposure.

Contractors will work 12-hour shifts, 6 days on and 1 day off, living in a camp. Pay ranges from $75–$90 per hour, with overtime eligibility; independent contractors encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• API 510/570 or CWB Level 2 certification required.
• Multiple years of welding-related inspection experience in turnaround/shutdowns.
• Experience inspecting welds on pipelines, pressure vessels, heat exchangers.
• Industry experience in oil & gas, power, or manufacturing.
• Independent contractor status required.

SGS is currently looking for inspectors for a turnaround for a one month contract in Fort McMurray starting September 4th.

The work is on a site in Fort McMurray. The contractor will live in a camp and the work schedule is 6 days on/1 day off - 12 hour shift. After the first 6/1, the contractor might work straight through until the end of the turnaround.

• API 510 or API 570 or CWB Level 2 (minimum)
• A few years of industrial welding-related inspection experience. These years should be in Turnaround / shutdowns / site work / Quality Assurance / vendor surveillance / shop inspections
• Ifno turnaround experience, the client willconsider new construction experience.
• Industrial experience in Oil & gas / Power & Utility / Construction / Manufacturing, etc..
• Experienced in inspecting welds on various manufactured products eg. pipelines, expansion joints, pressure vessels, heat exchangers and other equipment
• Must be an independant contractors
• Pay rate between $75 - $90/hr depending on experience. Eligible for overtime.
