Job summary

Loblaw Companies Limited is seeking a Senior Analyst, Workday Recruiting, to play a critical hands-on configuration role in sustaining and enhancing our Workday system, focusing on Recruiting and related integrations such as Paradox.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Workday Recruiting & Learning, you will design, configure, test, and deploy solutions with HR stakeholders to improve user experience, compliance, and efficiency across the enterprise.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of Workday HR backend configuration experience in Recruiting.
  • Post-secondary education in Business, HR, Data Analytics, or Information Systems; CHRP is a plus.
  • Proven project management skills, including requirement gathering and enhancements.
  • Strong collaboration and communication with stakeholders.
  • Analytical thinking with initiative and problem-solving.

Responsibilities

  • Lead design, development, and implementation of Workday Recruiting features.
  • Collaborate with Paradox, Certn and other vendors to implement integrations.
  • Define data configuration requirements with HR stakeholders and document specs.
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners to meet objectives.
  • Develop strategic solutions and provide actionable insights from data.

As a Senior Analyst, Workday Recruiting, you will play a critical hands‑on configuration role in sustaining and enhancing our Workday system, with a primary focus on the Recruiting module and supporting systems, including Paradox. As part of the People, Technology & Analytics team, this role is a valued member of our team supporting our Human Resources department. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Workday Recruiting & Learning, you will leverage your valuable Workday expertise in backend configuration to ensure system integrity, optimal performance, and deliver a positive and streamlined user experience across the enterprise.

What You'll Do:
  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of the Workday Recruiting module, focusing on maximizing functional features and exceeding business and regulatory requirements.
  • Work closely with third-party integrated solutions, including Paradox and Certn, collaborating with vendors, HR, and technical teams to implement enhancements, resolve complex issues, support releases, validate integrations, and drive continuous improvement of talent acquisition and onboarding processes.
  • Collaborate with HR stakeholders to identify, define, and document data configuration requirements and implement solutions, focusing on enhancing user experience and optimizing productivity.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to provide exceptional customer service and achieve business objectives.
  • Develop strategic solutions to unexpected challenges, providing actionable insights and recommendations based on data interpretation and best practices.
  • Employ comprehensive testing strategies with effective test cases and defect resolution process for all configuration changes to ensure a successful deployment.
  • Exercise sound judgment when constructing complex configurations and implementing new Workday functionality within a large cross‑functional team.
What you Bring:
  • 3-5 years of progressive hands‑on Workday experience in HR with backend configuration focus in Workday Recruiting (additional modules are an asset).
  • Post‑secondary education in Business, HR, Data Analytics, or Information Systems focus, or equivalent work experience. (CHRP or related designation is an asset).
  • Proven project management skills, including identifying and documenting business requirements while proficiently managing enhancements and implementation requests.
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to build client trust, influence decisions and develop effective relationships.
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, able to engage both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • High‑level of critical thinking, curiosity, and initiative with advanced analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
