The Senior Treasury Analyst will assist in the securitization of consumer loans and leases, supporting the funding of HCFI's lending business. This role includes monthly servicer reporting to all conduit counterparties and related financial reporting.
PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- ABS transactions: Prepare and dispatch requests for proposals, perform pool selection for securitization, assist in negotiating purchase agreements, and coordinate documentation with legal counsel and rating agencies to facilitate the sale of accounts receivable to either ABS CP Bank Conduit, On Balance Sheet ABS Note or Private Placement of Term ABS.
- Monthly Reporting: Prepare monthly servicer reports, remit collections, prepare ABS accounting entries, assist external auditors for timely completion of ABS audits. Ensure compliance with legal agreement and accounting standards.
- ABS Reporting Controls: Review procedures and processes with SOX consultants and participate in establishing internal key controls to ensure compliance with SOX requirements.
- Analytical Calculations and Studies: Conduct stress analysis on selected pools, calculate sensitivity and economic analysis, perform statistical analysis, and undertake miscellaneous analytical studies to establish pool performance for reporting purposes.
- ABS/Securitization Standards Updates: Stay informed on current standards, and review relevant publications to ensure an unqualified management letter from audits.
- Interest Expense Allocations: Oversee monthly interest expense allocations to business lines.
- Financial Reporting: Complete monthly and quarterly reporting related to HCFI’s debt. Complete Quarterly/Annual debt-related footnotes.
- Presentation Preparation: Assist in preparing various presentations.
- Ad Hoc Duties: Perform additional duties as assigned by the Treasury Manager.
POSITION PROFILE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: Completed post-secondary degree in Business (B. Comm or BBA) or equivalent.
- Experience: 5-10 years of experience in the banking industry with demonstrated expertise in treasury issues related to liquidity, capital, and interest rate risk management.
- Skills: Strong mathematical/financial market background with an Accounting designation (CPA or CFA) or progressing towards designation is an asset.
- Legal Analysis: Ability to analyze legal agreements to effectively service each transaction.
- Preferred Experience: Previous experience in ABS funding is strongly preferred.
- Attributes: Detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and capable of multitasking.
- Technical Skills: Intermediate Excel skills required; knowledge of accounting systems, particularly PeopleSoft, is preferred.
