Job description

Sr. Analyst - Policy & Compliance

Help shape the future of global workforce operations by bridging policy, compliance, and process in a growing, high-impact environment. If you thrive in translating complex HR policies into scalable systems and enabling frontline teams through clear, actionable guidance—this role is for you.

Who- the Company:

A global design and manufacturing company with an impeccable reputation. Our client offers a fast-paced, rewarding, and inclusive environment.

What- the Opportunity:

This is a 6-month contract-to-hireopportunity, critical to building scalable, policy-driven operations as our client continues to grow globally. Our client is looking for someone who can bridge compliance, governance, and operations - bringing strong expertise in workforce management, specifically in areas like time, pay, wage, and accrual policies.

This is not a technical configuration role but rather acts as the translator - refining high-level business requirements (e.g., policy-level directives) into functional specifications, and leading user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure accurate outcomes. This person will also be responsible for creating and maintaining content to support training and change management initiatives for our retail managers.

This role will support the UKG/WFM implementationfor North America Retail, and to provide ongoing sustainment - ensuring our client’s systems, policies, and documentation stay aligned over time.

  • Global HR policy governance — maintain and evolve the library of HR policies, ensuring alignment with global and regional requirements.
  • Documentation & compliance readiness — create and maintain auditable records for core programs (e.g. timekeeping, leave, pay practices).
  • Cross-functional enablement — partner with Legal, Payroll, and HRBPs to translate legal requirements into scalable operational processes.
  • Operational controls & audit — support process reviews and pre-audit documentation; track follow-up actions and compliance gaps.
  • Policy-to-system alignment — work with Systems and Ops to ensure that policy is accurately reflected in Workday, UKG, and in downstream systems/processes (e.g. payroll, benefits, other).
  • Change tracking & communication — maintain visibility to changing employment regulations (with Legal) and support policy lifecycle management.
  • Enablement — support the development of training, guides, and self-service resources to build org-wide understanding of policies.
Who- the Candidate:

Seeking candidates with deep experience translating policy into operational and functional requirements, identifying operational scenarios and policy intersections, and proactively surfacing any areas where policy updates may be needed due to system limitations or regulatory changes. Strong preference for candidates with expertise supporting workforce management for high-volume, hourly workforces, ideally in a retail environment (or similar) with end-to-end WFM and payroll knowledge.

  • 4–6 years in HR compliance, employee relations, operational policy, or related roles.
  • A proactive, systems-thinking approach to policy and process.
  • Strong communication skills — especially when simplifying complex or sensitive concepts.
  • A deep appreciation for operational nuance and regional variation.
  • Comfort working across ambiguity and collaborating cross-functionally in fast-paced, scaling environments.
Where:

Hybrid working model of 2 days’ onsite strongly preferred (North Vancouver), but open to strong remote candidates within compatible time zones.

How Much:

Hourly rate commensurate with experience in the range of $52.50 - $65.50/hr commensurate with experience + 4% vacation pay.
