Job description

What you will do
  1. Leading quantitative analysis and strategic problem solving to support business casing for opportunities related to strategic initiatives, technology investments and strategic M&A while ensuring a high level of quality in all required analyses and presentations.
  2. Developing management reporting, models and analytics tools to support the ongoing management of business performance and deliver insight into the key value drivers of the wealth management business, leveraging data visualization tools like PowerBI.
  3. Delivering effectively in a collaborative environment by owning meaningful analyses and deliverables independently and engaging directly with other business stakeholders.
  4. Supporting the facilitation of recurring performance dialogues with business unit leaders and with senior LifeCo executives.
What you will bring
  1. 2 or more years of analytical, problem-solving work experience preferably in professional services (e.g., management consulting, accounting), corporate strategy, actuarial, valuation/ M&A.
  2. A college or university degree (preferably in business, finance or other equivalent).
  3. Demonstrated analytical & Excel skills – performing quantitative and financial analyses.
  4. Self-starter with high motivational level, intellectual curiosity, and openness to learning and continuous development.
  5. Strong verbal and written presentation skills – including PowerPoint.
  6. Works well in an open, diverse, and collaborative environment without rigidly defined boundaries of “who does what.”
  7. Willingness to challenge current thinking, share new and innovative ideas, engage in productive debate with partners to achieve better outcomes.
  8. Experience with data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau an asset.
  9. Understanding of, or experience in, the life insurance, health insurance, wealth and asset management and/ or reinsurance industries is a bonus.

Note: The team operates in a hybrid work environment with a minimum of 2 days in the office per week. Project deadlines may require additional hours. Given the size and scope of our organization, we have the flexibility for this position to be located in the following head office locations: Toronto or Mississauga. Travel between the two offices will be required.

The base salary for this position is between $68,700 - $114,500 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation (i.e., annual bonus, commission, etc.).
