The Role
Supports the Client Data Operations team in GBM Onboarding with counterparty data reconciliation, regulatory reporting readiness, and client data remediation. This involves developing an understanding of client and counterparty data, regulatory reporting regimes and protocols including CanDer, CFTC/Dodd-Frank, SEC/SBSDR and SBS requirements, Canadian derivatives rules such as NI 93-101 and Rule 91-507, and related reporting obligations supported through platforms and controls such as Fenergo, IHS Markit/ISDA Amend, DROIT, GTT and DTCC. The role is instrumental in performing data analysis, reconciliation, and remediation across various systems to help ensure clients are compliant with applicable regulatory obligations.
Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
- Support the Associate with complex data analysis, problem solving, and project execution as required.
- Perform exception management, reconciliations, and data analysis across systems to ensure counterparties are correctly mapped for downstream reporting, as necessary.
- Investigates, tracks, and resolves data inconsistencies across various systems to enhance the quality of counterparty data.
- Conducts data analysis and prepares various reports to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Supports regulatory reporting obligations by maintaining awareness of applicable regimes and protocols, including CanDer, CFTC/Dodd-Frank, SEC/SBSDR and SBS requirements, Canadian derivatives rules such as NI 93-101 and Rule 91-507, DTCC reporting, and related ISDA protocol obligations, ensuring required client and counterparty data elements are complete, accurate, and fit for downstream reporting.
- Executes client data remediation activities to resolve gaps, inconsistencies, and exceptions that may impact compliance with regulatory reporting requirements and protocols.
- Supports the regulatory exception process by investigating, tracking, and resolving exceptions.
- Collaborates with operations, trading desks, and counterparties to resolve exceptions promptly.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? – We’d love to work with you if you have:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Computer Science, Finance
- Minimum 1-3 years’ experience working in a global financial institution or consulting firm, in an operations management, business intelligence, transformation or client analytics function with demonstrated experience in reporting.
- Working knowledge of regulatory reporting regimes, protocols, and control expectations, including CanDer, CFTC/Dodd-Frank, SEC/SBSDR and SBS requirements, NI 93-101, Rule 91-507, and DTCC reporting obligations, is an asset.
- Experience supporting client data remediation, exception management, or regulatory data quality initiatives is an asset.
- Working knowledge of the bank’s counterparty data and source application systems, including the onboarding platform.
- Working knowledge of PowerBI and/or similar data visualization tool capabilities.
- Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and related data reconciliation tools (e.g., Excel, SharePoint, Power Platform)
- Data governance and/or database management experience a plus.
- Strong verbal, written, presentation and communication skills.
- The incumbent must be proactive and organized with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Working Conditions
- Work in a standard office-based environment on a hybrid basis, as determined for each team within GBM Onboarding.
- Non-standard hours are a common occurrence.
