Job summary

Are you an ambitious audit and compliance professional with a knack for problem-solving? Do you thrive in a collaborative environment where you can challenge the status quo and mitigate risks? If so, our A-Team may be the perfect place for you!

We’re looking for a talented professional to plant their roots with us as our newest Senior Analyst (Compliance, Risk and Assurance - CRA). In this role, you will report into the Senior Manager, Assurance and will be a vital member of our Compliance, Risk and Assurance division. You will support key governance programs by planning, executing, and monitoring our global compliance, risk management and internal control over financial reporting (ICFR) activities to elevate our business objectives and enable our success.

As a Senior Analyst (CRA), you will…

  • Collaborate with senior management and business partners to plan, scope, and execute on internal audit, compliance, and risk management projects
  • Analyze internal control over financial reporting for design and operating effectiveness, including control testing, synthesizing findings and observations, draw in appropriate conclusions, and making recommendations based on both technical guidance, risk-based analysis, and professional judgment
  • Coordinate with external auditors on the annual integrated audit plan and control testing procedures, including where external audit can rely on internal audit testing
  • Facilitate successful key SOX program activities including supporting risk assessments, maintaining documents, liaising with the SOX Steering and Audit Committees, and overseeing quarterly and annual NI 52-109 and SOX 404 certification

As an experienced professional you will have…

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance with a CPA, CA, CMA or CGA designation (or be in the process of pursuing the designation)
  • A minimum of two years of relevant work experience in internal or external auditing, IT auditing, public accounting, or risk management with an emphasis on internal control knowledge in a SOX environment
  • Strong knowledge of the COSO Integrated Internal Control Framework (2013) and COSO ERM Framework (2017) with experience implementing or testing COSO control objectives

You’re the ideal candidate if you are…

  • The ultimate team-player who thrives in a collaborative environment where they have the autonomy to make decisions
  • A self-motivated individual with exceptional organizational skills who can manage multiple priorities at once
  • An ambitious professional who is energized by the opportunity to work in a growing industry and tackle new challenges in fast-paced environments

Bonus points if you have...

  • A CIA or CISA designation (or are in the process of pursuing)
  • Experience working in or with the cannabis industry with proficiency in cultivation or manufacturing
  • Strong knowledge and background with IT general controls, application control, Sage X3 and COBIT framework
