Job summary

State Street’s CyberDNA team seeks a Senior AI Security Automation Engineer to deliver AI-powered security platforms and agentic workflows. You’ll design, build, and secure scalable AI services across cloud providers, while mentoring engineers and collaborating with cybersecurity and data teams.

You will advance retrieval-augmented generation, governance, and observability, ensuring safe, compliant AI operation in production. This hybrid role is based in Toronto.

Qualifications

• Master’s or bachelor’s degree in CS/SE/AI; 7+ years software engineering; 3+ years AI/ML experience.
• Strong background in building enterprise-scale apps and platform systems.
• Experience with cybersecurity analytics, data engineering, and AI-driven security workflows.
• Proven ability to mentor engineers and influence technology strategy.
• Experience with cloud-native architectures, containers, and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Drive architecture and hands-on delivery of scalable AI security platforms for security workflows.
• Design production-grade AI systems including agents, skills, and tool orchestration.
• Architect retrieval and context-engineering approaches with embeddings and semantic search.
• Engineer cloud-native AI services across AWS, Azure, and GCP using containers and serverless patterns.
• Optimize performance, latency, throughput, and cost controls.
• Build APIs and integrations connecting AI to security platforms and processes.
• Establish evaluation, testing, and observability frameworks for quality and safety.
• Define engineering standards for reliability and secure AI operation.
• Mentor junior engineers and influence architectural direction.
• Leverage enterprise AI tooling to accelerate development with secure coding practices.
