Autodesk in Toronto, Canada is seeking a Senior AI Developer to design and implement AI features for the platform, partnering with product managers, developers and operations to build and maintain the roadmap.

The role emphasizes scalable, secure software, AI agent tools, REST/Graph APIs, and production systems at scale, with opportunities to influence architecture and technical debt while delivering impactful solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building APIs with Python or Node.js.
• Experience with AI Agent tools & frameworks.
• Experience building and integrating MCP tools.
• Excellent knowledge of REST API standards, Graph and web services.
• Experience translating business needs into technical requirements and reusable modules.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Design, code, test, debug and document new and existing components.
• Lead code and document reviews, mentor team in best practices.
• Translate business needs into technical requirements and estimates.
• Evaluate tools and technologies to ensure quality and performance.
• Collaborate with team to troubleshoot code quickly and efficiently.
• Apply deep technical expertise to resolve complex programming problems.
