Job summary

Stikeman Elliott LLP is building its own agentic AI platform with senior engineering leadership to advance development across end-to-end production systems. You will design, build and deploy AI applications, including MCP servers and reusable plugins for legal workflows, while guiding a small team and reporting to the CIO.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of experience designing and delivering production software.
• At least one year working directly with LLM-powered or agentic applications in production.
• End-to-end ownership from architecture to deployment and support.
• Experience mentoring developers and conducting code reviews.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Own application architecture, including service decomposition and data persistence.
• Build agent-facing capabilities as portable tool servers.
• Develop and maintain MCP servers and tool sets with secure auth.
• Extend reusable plugins and skills for firm workflows.
• Lead code reviews and mentor developers; ensure production delivery.
• Build integrations with core systems like document management, CRM, and billing.
• Implement secure identity patterns and manage CI/CD pipelines.
