Job summary

Crimson Education is seeking a high-impact backend engineer to design and build the core product architecture for an AI-native education agent. You will own end-to-end delivery, from prototype through production, with a focus on scalable backend systems and infrastructure.

You will work across the stack as needed, partner with product and design, and push for strong abstractions, robust tooling, and rapid iteration in a dynamic startup environment with global reach.

Qualifications

• Strong backend and infra experience for AI-native products.
• Ability to design clean systems with sharp tradeoffs and fast execution.

Responsibilities

• Build the core product and system architecture for a next-gen education agent.
• Design and ship agent workflows across planning, tool use, memory, evals, feedback loops, and production ops.
• Own difficult engineering problems end-to-end from prototype to production.
• Build robust backend foundations for AI-native products and services.
• Collaborate with product/design to turn ambiguous ideas into working features quickly.
• Drive engineering leverage, better abstractions, and faster iteration loops.
