Job summary

Raise is hiring a Senior Agile Coach in Toronto (Hybrid). You will coach approximately 5–12 squads, working with leadership and teams across coaching, mentoring, teaching, and facilitation.

You will assess needs, determine where coaching has the greatest impact, and collaborate with the Agile Coach Chapter Lead. Responsibilities include training Product Owners, guiding user-story development, refining ceremonies, and enabling continuous improvement across Scrum and Kanban.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on Agile coaching experience.
• Experience coaching, mentoring, teaching, and facilitating.
• Experience with Scrum and Kanban frameworks.
• Experience building Agile capabilities (PO coaching, user stories, ceremonies, metrics).
• Strong facilitation, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.

Responsibilities

• Coach assigned squads across leadership and team levels with various coaching stances.
• Assess needs across teams, balance coaching impact, and gather feedback from leaders and Product Owners.
• Provide hands-on support including PO coaching, writing user stories, improving ceremonies, and enabling continuous improvement.

Senior Agile Coach

• Location: Toronto - ON - Hybrid (Minimum 2 days per week onsite, but candidates should be prepared to work onsite three to four days per week depending on the squads they support)
• Pay Rate: $110.78/hr - $128.05/hr
• Contract Length: 6 months with possibility for extension

We at Raise are hiring a Senior Agile Coach for one of our top clients. After establishing themselves as an industry leader, they’re now expanding their team to meet rising demand.

Responsibilities:

• The Senior Agile Coach will coach an assigned crew and its associated squads, potentially supporting approximately 5 to 12 squads. This individual will work across leadership and team levels and must be comfortable adopting different coaching stances, including coaching, mentoring, teaching, and facilitation.
• The successful candidate will assess competing needs across teams, determine where coaching support will have the greatest impact, solicit feedback from leaders and Product Owners, and work closely with the Agile Coach Chapter Lead responsible for the domain.
• The Agile Coach will provide hands-on support to teams and leaders, including training Product Owners, teaching teams how to write effective user stories, improving Agile ceremonies, helping teams establish meaningful measures, and facilitating continuous improvement. The coach must be able to work across Scrum, Kanban, and other Agile approaches based on the needs of the team.

Must Have Requirement:

• 10+ years of relevant experience, including substantial hands-on Agile coaching experience.
• Practical experience coaching, mentoring, teaching, and facilitating, rather than providing only theoretical or high-level guidance.
• Experience applying multiple Agile frameworks and methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban
• Strong experience developing Agile capabilities, including Product Owner coaching, user-story development, ceremonies, team measurement, and continuous improvement.
• Strong facilitation, relationship-building, communication, conflict-management, and problem-solving capabilities.

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience facilitating Product Increment Planning or Big Room Planning.
• Experience supporting design-thinking activities and discovery sprints.
• Previous experience in banking, financial services, or another large regulated enterprise.
• Experience supporting business-oriented teams, including marketing or other non-technology functions.
